In response to the devastating floods that affected thousands of families in Bihar and Jharkhand, Efendl Welfare Education Trust swiftly mobilized its disaster relief network to deliver essential supplies to the affected regions. Within just 48 hours of the disaster, our team was on the ground, coordinating with local authorities and volunteers.

Two fully loaded trucks carrying 5,000 kg of rice, 2,000 liters of drinking water, 1,500 blankets, and 800 medical kits were dispatched from our Delhi distribution center. The supplies reached the worst-hit areas of Patna and Muzaffarpur, providing immediate relief to over 3,000 families.

Beyond Immediate Relief

While immediate relief is crucial, we understand that the real battle begins after the floodwaters recede. Families return to damaged homes, children miss months of school, and livelihoods are destroyed. That is why our relief program includes:

• Rehabilitation kits containing utensils, clothing, and hygiene products
• Temporary shelter materials including tarpaulins and bamboo poles
• Livelihood restoration grants for small farmers and daily wage workers
• Psychological counseling sessions for children traumatized by the disaster
